What does it do?
Vitamin C is needed to make collagen and contributes to normal immune function. It also supports absorption of iron from plant foods. A normal function does not mean high extra amounts prevent illness.
Where can you find it?
Peppers, broccoli, citrus fruit and various berries are possible sources. Storage and preparation affect content; colour alone cannot assess a meal.
Make it work in everyday life
Choose fruit and vegetables you enjoy buying and actually use. Pepper strips with bread or broccoli beside a lentil sauce are simple combinations. If one version is rejected, a powder does not need to step in. Try another texture or food. Several small opportunities across the week are often easier than achieving a perfect pairing at every meal.
Is vitamin C juice needed with every meal?
No. Vegetables and whole fruit offer many options. A specially marketed juice or supplement is not necessary for this kind of food pairing.
